It's been too long!

Our blog has not gotten much attention lately!  The month of December was absolutely crazy.  We went to Mexico with Kaiizen, watched our nephew Carter for a few days, finished up the semester and finals, went to Nebraska for Christmas, and hung out in Sandy for New Years!  With all the business, we haven't been very diligent about updating our blog.  We will post pictures soon of all our adventures!  We are excited for the new year and to get back in the swing of things after a fun break with family and friends!

End of Summer Vacations

So sorry about the fact that this is a REALLY long post but I realized that I never actually posted pictures and told about any of our vacations at the end of the summer.  So here it goes!  At the beginning of July we went east with my family.  We went to Niagara Falls, some church history sites, and a sweeeet amusement park.  My little brother had never really been on any cool roller coasters so we decided to do that as our "finale" to our vacation.  The whole trip was so much fun!  I loved being able to spend time with my family and see so many amazing things.  Niagara Falls is incredible!  Everyone should go there sometime in their life.  The church history sites were really neat too because I had never been to Palmyra or Kirtland.  We were able to see some houses of the prophets, the Palmyra temple, the Sacred Grove, the Hill Cumorah Pageant, the temple in Kirtland, where the Book of Mormon was first published, and many other cool places.  Then we went to this amusement park that was so great!  It had 17 roller coasters and 3 of the top 10 in the world!  We rode on a roller coaster that went 120 miles an hour and went 400 feet in the air at a 90 degree angle!  It was insane but so much fun!  The best was watching the video of my little brother after he went on the first roller coaster... we all laughed our heads off forever!  Such a fun trip!  Here are some pictures!

The next vacation we went on was to Montana to Scott's Family's cabin.  I had never been there before but it is a huge part of his family and they all LOVE it up there!  After going up to their cabin, I can understand why they love it!  It is gorgeous!  We were in Montana at the same as the rest of Scott's family.. besides Blaine and Robin and their kids who we really missed!  We had so much fun.. we played on the lake a lot, went to Glacier National Park, relaxed, ate some good food, saw some of Scott's friends, and just enjoyed Montana!! We didn't take many pictures.. don't know what we were thinking.. but there are at least a few from Glacier!

For our one year anniversary, Scott and I got to go to Cancun!  It was such a fun trip!  I had never been to Cancun before so Scott was able to show me around!  We stayed at a resort right on the beach!  It was so nice to just go on a vacation with only Scott and I and just get to have fun and relax and enjoy spending time with each other!  I can't believe we have been married over a year already!  It has been such a great year!  I am a lucky girl to have such an amazing husband.. don't know what I did right!  Anyways.. in Mexico we did so many fun things!  We were able to go to church in the city which was a lot of fun.. it reminded Scott a lot of his mission and it made us want to go to Peru so bad!  We also played on the beach a lot, went to Chichen Itza, went Scuba diving in Cancun and Cozumel, shopped around at the little shops, drank lots of Pina Coladas, ate TONS of really good tacos, and relaxed.  I just got scuba certified in February so this was my first real time scuba diving.  It was a little scary at first but I was so glad I had Scott there with me!  I absolutely LOVED it.. can't wait to go again!  Here are a few pictures of our fun trip!

After Mexico, we got to go to Moab with our friends Mark and Libby and Drew and Kerri.  We went mountain biking at slick rock which was actually tons of fun!  I was a little nervous about it but I liked it a lot!  We also went to Arches National Park which was cool because I had never been before!  Utah is so beautiful!

Our last little trip of the summer was to California for Nicole's wedding!  It was a fun trip!  We got to stay at Scott's brother and sister in law's house.. It was tons of fun getting to hang out with them for a couple days!  The wedding was beautiful of course too!  We had such an amazing summer with so many fun adventures!  Now it's back to school and work and real life!

Figuring out my life!

I just recently decided to change my major!  I was debating but I talked to a few advisors and got my schedule all figured out and everything seems to be falling into place.  I am now going to apply to the athletic training program!  It will add some time onto my school but I think it will be worth it in the long run!  I am super excited about it so hopefully I get into the program.  I apply in December and should find out a couple weeks after I apply.  I know I should have probably made this decision sooner.. but I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life!  Scott is so great and so supportive of my decision!  He really encouraged me to change my major because he knew I would like it a lot more than exercise science!  He really is such a blessing to me and always so amazing!  I'll keep you all posted when I hear if I got accepted or not!

Epic Weekend

Just got back from Moab/Canyonlands.....such an epic weekend.

Hadn't rode slickrock since I was a young gun so that was a party.  Heather loved it.  Hopefully we can go back again soon this fall when it's not so bloody hot out.  I thought I was going to melt.

Just a few weeks until our Triathlon so Heather and I are starting to freak out.  Haven't had tons of time to train so we will see how well it goes.

Bear Lake Brawl

We just signed up for the Bear Lake Brawl....we will be running a Sprint Distance Triathlon, seeing as how we are a little uncoordinated.  Anyway, if you see us out running or biking its probably to get in shape for that.  September 12th of this year.  Anyone else who is interested, get signed up!

Saw Transformers for the 2nd time.  Even better, though it seemed more inappropriate the second time through.  Nothing too bad but it is definitely PG-13...haha.

Transformers - Revenge of the Fallen

So, Transformers was incredible.  Anyone disagree?  Feel free to comment if you do, because I am sure I will have a way to shut you down...

Best part?  How about when the Blackbird yells, 'Take My Parts!!!' and then Optimus Prime becomes Super Optimus Prime?  Anyway, way to go Michael Bay.

Finally it feels like summer, we were lounging by the pool all afternoon at my parents' house and got some sun.  I dont know what it is about the weather this month, but this has been the first day that we have really just been able to hang out outside and not have rain or anything.

Also, just to defend the picture below, it was taken COMPLETELY out of context by placing it here on our blog.  We were halfway through a very hyper sleepover with Ben and Ashli and had been drinking lots of Mountain Dew...how many of you would not put those things on your face in that situation?  It was taken at like 3 in the morning I am pretty sure...

Summer Time!

Summertime has been so relaxing!  Since Scott and I aren't in school we are both working full time.  Once we get home from work we get to play all night!  We have been taking advantage of the extra time and doing fun outdoorsy summertime stuff!  We love summer!

Having a picnic in our front lawn with Scott, Allison, Mark and Libby after we went rock climbing up Rock Canyon!

Bently, Scott's cousin's daughter, at our campfire up American Fork Canyon.  We are in love with her.. she is so ADORABLE!
