End of Summer Vacations
So sorry about the fact that this is a REALLY long post but I realized that I never actually posted pictures and told about any of our vacations at the end of the summer. So here it goes! At the beginning of July we went east with my family. We went to Niagara Falls, some church history sites, and a sweeeet amusement park. My little brother had never really been on any cool roller coasters so we decided to do that as our "finale" to our vacation. The whole trip was so much fun! I loved being able to spend time with my family and see so many amazing things. Niagara Falls is incredible! Everyone should go there sometime in their life. The church history sites were really neat too because I had never been to Palmyra or Kirtland. We were able to see some houses of the prophets, the Palmyra temple, the Sacred Grove, the Hill Cumorah Pageant, the temple in Kirtland, where the Book of Mormon was first published, and many other cool places. Then we went to this amusement park that was so great! It had 17 roller coasters and 3 of the top 10 in the world! We rode on a roller coaster that went 120 miles an hour and went 400 feet in the air at a 90 degree angle! It was insane but so much fun! The best was watching the video of my little brother after he went on the first roller coaster... we all laughed our heads off forever! Such a fun trip! Here are some pictures!
The next vacation we went on was to Montana to Scott's Family's cabin. I had never been there before but it is a huge part of his family and they all LOVE it up there! After going up to their cabin, I can understand why they love it! It is gorgeous! We were in Montana at the same as the rest of Scott's family.. besides Blaine and Robin and their kids who we really missed! We had so much fun.. we played on the lake a lot, went to Glacier National Park, relaxed, ate some good food, saw some of Scott's friends, and just enjoyed Montana!! We didn't take many pictures.. don't know what we were thinking.. but there are at least a few from Glacier!
For our one year anniversary, Scott and I got to go to Cancun! It was such a fun trip! I had never been to Cancun before so Scott was able to show me around! We stayed at a resort right on the beach! It was so nice to just go on a vacation with only Scott and I and just get to have fun and relax and enjoy spending time with each other! I can't believe we have been married over a year already! It has been such a great year! I am a lucky girl to have such an amazing husband.. don't know what I did right! Anyways.. in Mexico we did so many fun things! We were able to go to church in the city which was a lot of fun.. it reminded Scott a lot of his mission and it made us want to go to Peru so bad! We also played on the beach a lot, went to Chichen Itza, went Scuba diving in Cancun and Cozumel, shopped around at the little shops, drank lots of Pina Coladas, ate TONS of really good tacos, and relaxed. I just got scuba certified in February so this was my first real time scuba diving. It was a little scary at first but I was so glad I had Scott there with me! I absolutely LOVED it.. can't wait to go again! Here are a few pictures of our fun trip!
After Mexico, we got to go to Moab with our friends Mark and Libby and Drew and Kerri. We went mountain biking at slick rock which was actually tons of fun! I was a little nervous about it but I liked it a lot! We also went to Arches National Park which was cool because I had never been before! Utah is so beautiful!
Our last little trip of the summer was to California for Nicole's wedding! It was a fun trip! We got to stay at Scott's brother and sister in law's house.. It was tons of fun getting to hang out with them for a couple days! The wedding was beautiful of course too! We had such an amazing summer with so many fun adventures! Now it's back to school and work and real life!
